Howelsen Place Background

Named after the famous turn of the century Steamboat resident Carl Howelsen, Howelsen place will change downtown just as Carl Howelsen changed Steamboat by introducing skiing to the community.

A pair of buildings make up the structure totaling 85,000 square feet of retail and residential living space. The layout of the structure will feature quaint residences and intimate dining and retail spaces for all to enjoy.

The architecture is accented by tiered verandas that allow all residences to capture the views of the valley and town. Being in the center of town will allow residents to enjoy dining, shopping, nightlife and walks along the river along with a short ride to the ski area.

After a day on the slopes or spending time in the outdoors residents simply return home and get ready for a night out on the town drinking, dining, and spending time with friends and family at one of the many great restaurants in Steamboat Springs.
